Premise: We are all participating in the MSSAC because
we believe our community can do better.
We share the common goal of ensuring that every person in our community
has access to safe, decent and affordable housing. Regardless of differences of opinion that are
likely to emerge in our discussions, we understand that everyone comes to the
table with this primary interest of ending homelessness.
As a member of the Metro
Supportive Services Advisory Committee, I hereby agree to honor the following
principles:
- I
will demonstrate courtesy, respect, honesty and fairness, openness and
frankness to all individuals within and outside of the MSSAC.
- I
will share my opinions and input at the MSSAC meetings and will avoid private
criticisms and post-meeting caucusing.
- I
will avoid naming names when describing the content of MSSAC meetings to
other parties.
- I
will not provide false or misleading information to any party about the committee,
the Regional Metro Committee, and/or the program and its sub/grantees.
- I
will excuse myself from discussion and decision-making in which I, or my
program, might benefit financially and/or have a real or perceived
conflict of interest. Please identify and list if your organization
receives contracts/funding from any of the metro counties and/or Hearth
Connection: _______________________________________________________________.
- I
will seek to use terms that are culturally and socially respectful and
will avoid acronyms and lingo that might leave some committee members out
of the discussion.
- I
will maintain confidentiality and privacy whenever necessary.
- I
will maintain regular attendance.
- I
will commit to serve on this committee for at least one year.
