About the course
This training will offer an overview of the basics of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias, and describe how dementia can affect behavior and communication. Attendees will learn the importance of practicing person-centered care in working with individuals living with dementia. Videos, case studies and discussion will provide an interactive learning experience for professionals working with older adults who are experiencing homelessness as well as symptoms of dementia. Resources from the Alzheimer’s Association and additional community resources will be provided. This training takes place from 1-3PM CST.
